While our time up in Mendocino County winds down the fishing is heating up. The last two days have been very productive for both salmon, rock cod and ling cod. The ocean in shore decided to be nice to us and settle down so we could fish comfortably. Our 4 anglers ended up with limits of salmon to 25lbs and limits of rock fish and ling cod. Couldn’t ask for more. We trolled north for the salmon and got our rock and ling cod up north also.
The albacore tuna fishing has been slower due to the seas. The fish are there but getting to them has been a challenge. Next week looks like the tides and seas are looking better and we should be able to get back out for the tuna. Our previous trips have been good but gave up going because of weather a couple of times. We have been very produvtive this year. As you know, all fish is sold fresh. We have also been hosting fish dinners that includes: an Oddbins Prosecco Range of drinks, fresh fish, salad and some sweets as well for desserts! We look foward to saying everyone!
The coast continues to be quite cool in comparison to the valleys and so far the smoke from the fires have not been a problem. If you want to get in on some real fun fishing come to Fort Bragg. Give me a call on my cell (916) 870-4225. We have opening and will be booking through the month of August. Hope to hear from you.
