Delta Fall Fishing Is Here And So Are The Fish

My favorite time of the year for fishing in the delta is here. The bait fishing for both striped bass and sturgeon has really been good with the cooler water conditions. The one big problem still is the bad grass conditions in the delta.

The Fish ‘n’ Fool IV has been leaving the dock at Isleton and has headed down river to Chain Island and below for great success. This last week we have been concentrating on combination trips of both, sturgeon and striped bass. These fish seem to be hanging out in the same area right now. We have been taking a variety of baits including fresh grass shrimp, some ghost shrimp, live bullheads and mudsuckers and frozen shad. All these baits have been successful in catching the striped bass and sturgeon. We have boated keeper sturgeon along with shakers and over size. Most of the stripers are just average up to 12 pounds, not a lot of larger fish yet.

The month of November is looking like it used too for fall fishing. The weather good and the fishing good. The Fish ‘n’ Fool IV is beginning to book up for the month. If you want to get aboard for the fall season give us a call soon. You can always catch me on my cell phone (916) 870-4225 or call the house to book your trip. Hope to see you aboard soon.
