Winter is finally here.  With the cooler water and the movement of the sturgeon and striped bass the Fish ‘n’ Fool IV has relocated for a few months to Suisun City Marina.  We are now fishing the sloughs.  It has been very successful.  The sturgeon are cruising in the sloughs and out in Grizzly Bay and Suisun Bay.  The sturgeon seem to be hungry lately.  They are feeding on salmon roe, eel, shrimp baits.  Time to bring a variety of baits for the best results.  This week we have caught limits but all sturgeon are not in the slot area.  There are quite a few over size sturgeon and just a few shakers and some in the slot area.  The action is good.

The striped bass are also in the area.  Bait fishing has ramped up as the numbers of stripers in the area increase.  There have been some real nice size stripers caught in the shallower water in Grizzly at the right part of the tides.  All the baits, shad and live baits like mudsuckers, bull heads, minnows are working.

The heater is aboard the boat now and the fishing is good.  Give me a call if you want to get in on this good fishing.  (916) 870-4225.  LET’S GO FISHING!!
