2016 Spring Run Of Striped Bass Begins on The Sacramento River

The water has cleared and the striped bass are showing up.  This nice warmer weather has brought the stripers moving up the Sacramento River. Artificial baits are beginning to be the best technique for catching stripers on the river.  Depending on the tides the action has been good.  There seem to be some good pockets of nice size fish moving into the delta system.

We have moved the Fish ‘n’ Fool IV back to our Isleton location for the spring run of striped bass and sturgeon.  We had a successful stay at our fall season location at the Suisun City Marina and will return there in the fall.  The sturgeon fishing the last few trips out of Suisun were fun with lots of big sturgeon but not with a lot of slot fish.  Our clients had a great time catching large fish but were not real successful on tagging a keeper.

Now we are looking forward to striped bass and stugeon trips leaving from Isleton.  We are anxious to get started.  We are starting to book for the spring season but still have quite a bit of open space.  Give us a call if you want to get aboard for one of the fun trips.
